For this significant 13th-century timber-post mosque, a comprehensive project was undertaken, culminating in the approval of the survey, restitution, and restoration plans by the relevant Regional Conservation Board.The project commenced with a high-precision architectural survey, where 3D laser scanning and advanced photogrammetry were employed. The documentation methodology innovatively integrated point cloud data with two-dimensional drawing techniques to ensure maximum accuracy.
Grounded in this precise data, the restitution project was developed through extensive historical research and comparative studies of analogous structures from the period.
The restoration phase was guided by a detailed conservation report, prepared in a scientific collaboration with Gazi University, which defined the intervention methods for all architectural elements. This ensured that the final project embodies a modern approach, profoundly respectful of the structure's immense historical and cultural integrity.
