BİLECİK MUNICIPALITY BUILDING

Currently serving as the Bilecik Municipality building, the structure was originally commissioned in 1905 by Sultan Abdülhamid II as an Ottoman Junior High School (Rüştiye). It retained its original educational function for many years before being repurposed as a municipal service building in 2005.
The structure, built with two stories over a basement and organized around a central courtyard, is a fine example of its period. Its architectural character is defined by features such as rusticated stone quoins, stone window surrounds, and dynamic facades articulated with projections.
To facilitate the planning of necessary interventions for its current use, a decision was made to officially document and archive the building. In this context, at the request of the Municipality, the site documentation was carried out using 3D terrestrial LiDAR technology (laser scanner). The subsequent architectural survey project was prepared and has since been approved by the relevant Regional Cultural Heritage Conservation Board.
