This residential building, located in the Çengelköy neighborhood of Istanbul's Üsküdar district, is a timber-frame structure built on a masonry stone ground floor. The structure's roof has been completely lost, leading to significant structural problems on the upper two floors due to rainwater exposure. To prevent its total collapse, an external steel support structure has been erected to brace the facades.
Given the building's critical and fragile condition, a high-precision architectural survey was conducted utilizing 3D laser scanning and advanced photogrammetry to safely and accurately document its current state. The subsequent survey (rölöve) project has been prepared and officially approved by the relevant Cultural Heritage Conservation Board.
