THE FORMER HAYDARPAŞA PASSPORT OFFICE

Completed in 1903 during the construction of the Haydarpaşa Station complex, this historic building is distinguished by its stone-clad facades and classical ornamentation. It has served various functions throughout its history but is currently unused. While its original monumental entrance arch has not survived, the building's other architectural details remain largely intact, albeit with varying degrees of deterioration.
A high-precision architectural survey of the structure was conducted, utilizing 3D laser scanning and advanced photogrammetry. Based on this detailed documentation, the restitution project was developed through extensive historical research and comparative studies. The final restoration project was then conceptualized with a modern approach that is deeply respectful of the building's historical and cultural significance. The complete suite of survey, restitution, and restoration projects has been finalized.
