During the implementation phase of a prior restoration, the emergence of new historical data necessitated a halt to the on-site work and a decision to commission an entirely new project.
In this context, a high-precision architectural survey of the 16th-century single bathhouse was conducted, utilizing 3D laser scanning and advanced photogrammetry to create a detailed digital model. The subsequent restitution project was grounded in a thorough re-evaluation of this new data, supplemented by comparative studies of analogous structures. A new restoration project was then conceptualized with a modern approach, respectful of the building's newly understood historical and cultural significance. The full suite of these re-evaluated survey, restitution, and restoration projects has since been approved by the relevant Regional Conservation Board.
