The Hüsamettin Mosque is a 14th-century urban mosque located in central Tire. Architecturally, it is a noteworthy example of a bazaar prayer hall, uniquely situated above a ground floor occupied by commercial shops.
The project commenced with a high-precision architectural survey, utilizing 3D terrestrial LiDAR technology to accurately document the structure within its complex urban context. Based on this digital data, the restitution project was developed through extensive historical research and comparative studies of analogous bazaar mosques. The final restoration project was then conceptualized with a modern approach that is profoundly respectful of the building's historical and cultural significance. The complete suite of survey, restitution, and restoration projects has been prepared.
