TÜRKBÜKÜ PUBLIC BEACH

For a bay in Türkbükü, Bodrum, which was previously unofficially occupied by private yachts, a public beach project was designed with a core philosophy of minimal environmental impact.
To respect the natural coastline and rocky terrain, the entire project is composed of elevated platforms constructed on a light-touch pier system. Walkways were carefully routed to preserve the existing natural vegetation, while the sunbathing decks follow the original contours of the shoreline. All service units are also elevated and were built using natural and sustainable materials such as timber and reed.
The restaurant area, featuring a mix of enclosed, open, and semi-open spaces, was strategically sited in a section of the site devoid of vegetation. It is oriented to maximize scenic views, providing an enjoyable public amenity.
The project was designed by our firm, and its construction was subsequently completed by the Ministry. The beach is now open for public use.
